 sts of two hours of self-paced content followed by six hours of instructor
 -led training. The self-paced computer training must be completed at least
  three days prior to the beginning of the course and the one-hour self-pac
 ed post session computer training must be completed as well in order for a
 ttendees to obtain certification. Registration ends May 12 at 12 noon.</b>
 \n\nYouth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents\, family me
 mbers\, caregivers\, teachers\, school staff\, peers\, neighbors\, health 
 and human services workers\, and other caring citizens how to help an adol
 escent (age 12-18) who might be experiencing a mental health challenge or 
 is in crisis.\n\nYouth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for a
 dults who regularly interact with young people. The course introduces comm
 on mental health challenges for youth\, reviews typical adolescent develop
 ment\, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in bo
 th crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered include anxiety\, depr
 ession\, substance use\, disorders in which psychosis may occur\, disrupti
 ve behavior disorders (including AD/HD)\, and eating disorders.\n\nThe tra
 ining will be hosted by YMHFA Certified Instructor Cecilia Eva Tenorio\, M
 ental Health and Wellness Coordinator at Community Advocates Public Policy
