If you want to be in the know about how RISE Drug Free MKE partners are creating change in Milwaukee County, you’ve come to the right place.

Meet Daisy Diaz: RISE Drug Free MKE Coalition Coordinator

Daisy Diaz

Hi, my name is Daisy Diaz.

I am a Chicago native that has sought out a new home here in Milwaukee. I have worn many titles under my hat like; Peer Support Associate, Outreach Community Specialist, and Crisis Respond Engagement Specialist. But all those roads have shown me the power of Advocacy. Another term I love to use on describing my role in the community is “Boots on the Ground”. I have worked alongside teams on creating sustainable programs, I've been a lead facilitator in many safe spaces created for the community, and been a board director to organizations that served the black and brown community.

I am excited to take on the role of Coalition Coordinator here at Community Advocates. All these stepping stones are on the road to continue expressing my passions and values. I aim to always lead with culture and humility, bringing awareness to the communities that remind me of home, and advocating for programs that effectively support the community’s wellness.

I am being intentional on how I support the community by sharing and learning from my life experiences. Those life experiences have set a foundation of values that make me stronger to lead with courage, loyalty, humility, kindness, gratitude, and the ability to adapt. All things needed to be a part of the change!

I am not all work and no play. I enjoy going on walks and seeking community art work. My two children and partner keep me on my toes with days full of outdoor adventures. I am an active runner that dislikes the sport but it's crucial for my mental health. I recently had the confidence to call myself an artist and have created a few healing pieces for my private collection. Music is a love that has always supported me on expressing my thoughts and emotions.

I am excited for this new chapter with Community Advocates and RISE Drug Free MKE!

Daisy will be working alongside our 53206 Prevention Coordinator, Mouath Jabar.

Mouath is a Milwaukee native and longtime community organizer who’s passionate about creating real change from the ground up. With over six years of experience leading campaigns and community projects, he brings energy, strategy, and heart to everything he does. Whether it’s registering voters, organizing protests, or working with youth on prevention efforts, Mouath is all about showing up for his community. At Community Advocates, Mouath focuses on youth engagement, substance misuse prevention, and helping neighborhoods access the tools they need to thrive. He’s especially focused on lifting underrepresented voices and turning big ideas into practical action. Before this, he directed large scale social change campaigns across the country, built teams from scratch, and managed operations that always hit their goals. Mouath earned his degree in Business Administration from UW-Milwaukee and speaks both English and Arabic. Outside of work, you can probably catch him playing basketball, out on long walks, or convincing his friends to try yet another new restaurant spot.
